Silk Worn Cocoon Lamp - Gorgeous

I have run across this lamp several times in the last year.... I am still in love. I have contemplated several times building my own.

There are several ways to source silk worm cocoons on the internet since they are often used for crafts. All you need is a really thin gauged wire or even floral wire would suffice which you can purchase at Wal-Mart. You will essentially be building a shade for your light. I would suggest for most of you turning this light project into a pendant styled light. It would look beautiful hanging over your kitchen table! This can easily be accomplished by purchasing a pendant wiring kit at somewhere like Menard's or Home Depot. I purchased one there for $14.

Amazing Paper Vases - made from materials at home

We have found a new way of recycling your old magazines! These vases are constructed from tightly layered magazine pages. Each is beautifully unique and add a great splash of color to your home.
Try making your own at home starting with a cylinder shape and tightly layering pages over each other at different heights (to create the visual "band" effect). Each layer can be adhered using Modge Podge which dries clear.
